The Profit Clinic is an Australian-based firm specialising in consulting, training and publishing for small and home-based business and the direct selling profession. It also provides training services to the corporate and government markets.

Founder of The Profit Clinic, John Counsel, began researching the concepts and principles of Fourth Generation Thinking™ after a series of health, business and financial crises in the mid 1980s. In urgent need of new direction, he realised that much of what passed for acceptable business practice was unethical, short-sighted and self-defeating. While rebuilding both his personal and professional lives, John explored the concept of Fourth Generation Thinking™ continuously, incorporating it into his consulting and training activities with outstanding results for clients, who embraced it enthusiastically and began spreading the word.

By 1996 John was back on top, with three best-selling business books, regular conference speaking invitations, a highly successful new seminar and workshop program for small business owners and regular lectures at leading business schools.

In 1997 he launched The Profit Clinic's first web site at www.profitclinic.com to instant acclaim. Widely regarded as one of the most useful small business and direct sales profession resources online, it enjoys an extraordinary average visitor stay of around three hours.
